Friends of Whatley Meeting (open to all residents of Whatley)

Mother's Day coffee and cake and celebration of our mothers. After the mother's day service we invite all mothers, and everyone with a mother to share a short time together to celebrate our mothers and to thank them for all they do and have done for us. Holy Trinity Church Chantry.
(everyone welcome and no charge)
The service is at 11.00 or join us from 12.00 in the church.

19th June - Thirsty Third Thursday - Pop-Up Pub, Chantry Church
Everybody welcome to come and socialise with friends and neighbours. Good company and subsidised prices of drinks. The church has always traditionally been at the centre of the community, and as we don’t have a village pub, we will use the church.
Friends of Chantry members will be eligible to a free drink at each session !!

And first coffee morning which will continue every 2nd Saturday of the month 10-12pm

12th and 15th April - "making mornings" at Orr Farm in Chantry. Egg blowing and decorating ready to decorate the Easter Tree. (Contact Jan Bramston 07938 983409)

18th April Good Friday
Easter Egg hunt (St Georges, Whatley)
11.30 am We invite young people and adults to hide the eggs
12pm We invite all younger people to come and find them.

20th April Easter Sunday
Easter Egg hunt at Holy Trinity Chantry - visit during the morning to find treats following the annual visit from the Easter Bunny!
11am - Easter Service in Holy Trinity, Chantry
July 2025

Brodsky Quartet, as part of the Frome Festival.
Holy Trinity Chantry.
Tickets will be on sale as part of the Frome Festival - and will be limited. If you would like a ticket - please contact Andrew Bramston (07375 357871) to reserve your seat. Tickets will be £ 25.00 and Friends of Chantry will be entitled to a free drink at the concert
Sunday 13th July - Quarry Loop Challenge (10am - 4pm)
Come and enjoy the new 4.5 mile loop on what promises to be a fun family day. Its free to join, and the quarry have agreed to sponsor us if we can complete 50 loops. So do make some time on Sunday 13th - it should take around 2 - 3 hours at a normal walking pace to complete the loop. More details to follow.

Ist Friday of the month evening social games night at St Georges, Whatley
Starting Friday 2nd May 6pm
Please drop into the church for a drink there will be a bar open to purchase drinks at amazing prices.
First social we will be hosting a board games night, all ages welcome, come along and join a game or bring friends and family. We will be encouraging a tween/teen playing table.
Bring your favourite game, or choose from our growing collection.
Potential to arrange a take away delivery - maybe a pre order from the Royal Bengal. Or fish and chips … TBC
